“Much, much and far too often do you hear people speak the negativity of our City of Ypsilanti staff and elected officials. I am blessed in my walk for it allows me to see from the inside the internal workings which the vast majority will never experience.
So, it is a very rare occasion that I go public or use my platform to attack or put City employees and our locally elected officials “on blast”. I know what they have before them, I try to focus on solutions and not create more problems or harping on our wrongs. With that, I had business at Parkridge today and knew the Community Center was being painted, I just didn’t know precisely by who.
In that, I give much respect and honor to State Senator Jeff Irwin, 3rd Ward Councilperson Annie Somerville, Downtown Development Authority Director Christopher Jacobs and Department of Public Services Director Ron Akers And yes, this is all volunteer work. #SALUTE”
