Take 2: When Privilege Met Privilege AGAIN

On May 3, 2020, Ypsi, can I share? hosted a discussion on "Privilege Meets Privilege at the State Capitol"
During the height of the first wave of the Coronavirus pandemic, our Michigan state legislature was called back into session by the GOP leadership hell bent on thwarting the Governor's power. Also in attendance that day was a blaring display of white privilege. White terrorists in combat gear with racist emblems threatened the lives of our legislators, most of whom have never experienced the trauma of white rage directed at them. This panel explored the traumatic effects of white terrorism, something people of color live with every day.

Fast forward to January 6th, 2021 - and history repeats itself - but this time in Washington D.C. Once again, (likely armed) white supremacist terrorists invaded an American Capitol and threatened legislators as if it was their birth right. But when peaceful Black Lives Matter protestors marched in D.C., they were greeted with a massive military show of force. What clearer example of the two Americas could there be? Watch and learn.
